NTR purchases, sells and refines rail-based freight and logistics solutions in combination with other types of freight transport. NTR primarily operates in Europe with a network of sales offices in 10 countries.For large customers,mainly in the forestry, steel and chemical industries, NTR has developed customised freight transport systems.

Hallsbergs Terminal AB
Hallsbergs Terminal AB is jointly owned by Green Cargo and Hallsberg municipality. The business aims to create an infrastructure to facilitate synergies between rail and road freight. The new combi-terminal was opened in September 2003 adjacent to the shunting yard in Hallsberg. The annual volume has already reached the equivalent of 25,000 trucks.
CargoNet
CargoNet’s core business is intermodal rail-based freight. The business is conducted in a Scandinavian network and in cooperation with other European networks. CargoNet is an associated company where 55 per cent is owned by the Norwegian State Railways (NSB) and 45 per cent by Green Cargo.The former Green Cargo subsidiary Rail Combi AB is part of CargoNet and operates in Sweden. The 16 Rail Combi terminals are linked with 16 terminals in Norway and can reach all populated and industrial centres in Scandinavia.
