Mariann Östansjö appointed CFO of Green Cargo

Mariann Östansjö has joined the Green Cargo Group as CFO. She has broad experience from companies that are active in an open market.
“It feels very good to already be able to introduce our new CFO,” says Green Cargo’s new CEO, Mikael Stöhr, who now has an important puzzle piece in place.

Mariann Östansjö has previously held leading positions such as CFO, head of business control and business developer at Skanska, Ragn-Sells, Svenska Petroleum Exploration and Preem Petroleum, for example.

“I am really looking forward to working in a group with a market offer that is as in tune with the times as rail transport is. Green Cargo has coped with the tough challenges of the recession, and now we need to move to safe ground. Profitability will improve; this is our task,” says Mariann Östansjö.

New intermodal shuttles have been in operation since Mikael Stöhr took over as CEO. The shuttles operate between Sweden and Germany as well as between Falköping and Gothenburg. Mikael Stöhr points out that interest from the industry in rail solutions is stable, but improved profitability is a prerequisite of development.

“Mariann Östansjö has focused on profitability in every aspect of her professional life, and she is well suited to her role at Green Cargo. Her competence will help us achieve our targeted level of profitability to become a company of the future,” says Mikael Stöhr, CEO of Green Cargo.

Mariann Östansjö was born in 1955, and she lives in Sollentuna, Sweden. She most recently worked as a consultant. She worked at the Skanska Group between 2001 and 2008.
