Green Cargo intends to integrate its own rail freight forwarding agent NTR, and create a common marketing and sales organisation for national and international railfreight transports. It will be a more efficient organisation with greater expertise and enhanced customer service offerings.
”NTR is very good at international rail solutions for the industry, but their knowledge and service offerings will become stronger as part of the parent company Green Cargo. It is risky and difficult for a small forwarding agent to balance flows in international freight train solutions”, says Green Cargo's Marketing and Sales Director Mats Hanson.
NTR’s customers will be offered the same service as before, when NTR is integrated into the parent company. Accessibility to the international customer service and marketing and sales organisation will increase for both NTR and Green Cargo's customers in the new organisation.
”NTR has a well-functioning wagon controlsystem that provides customers with precise information on where their wagons are, all over Europe. This is an example of a customer benefit that we will maintain and develop for all of our international service offerings”, says Mats Hanson.
NTR and Green Cargo have largely the same customers, and moving from two sales organisations, with duplicate administration and customer services, to a combined marketing and sales organisation offers both efficiency and stronger and more consistent service offerings for import and export rail traffic. MBL (the law on co-determination at work) negotiations have begun on the announced organisational changes.
