"With a strong focus on safety and quality regardless of the economic situation, we have made a strong comeback after two difficult winters. Our employees’ safety- and quality-awareness combined with our resources are real assets when we meet prospective customers," says Green Cargo's CEO, Mikael Stöhr.
The biggest contract of the quarter was signed with Dannemora Mineral regarding ore shipments from mines in Dannemora to the port in Hargshamn. The contract is for 7 years with an option for another 5 years.
“We won the assignment in competition with other operators and this deal is important to us. It shows that our resources, together with a reliable product solution, are what ensure the customer's core business. This forms the basis for a long-term cooperation with us as a logistic partner and gives us the opportunity to invest in the future.”
Mikael Stöhr points out that rising profits and new business does not reduce the seriousness of the economic situation in the outside world.
“Since the summer, cargo volumes have dropped by 10 percent and we are monitoring developments very carefully, in close and open contact with clients in various industries, so that we are able to adapt quickly to changing conditions,” says Mikael Stöhr.
