Climate action

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our times. A considerable share of the increased atmospheric GHG emissions derive from the way we extract, convert and use fossil energy. The goal is intended to integrate climate measures into national policies, strategies and planning.

Green Cargo’s role

Rail is the most energy-efficient and climate-smart transportation method, both today and in the future. Green Cargo is already delivering large-scale, fossil-free freight transportation. Electric trains make up 95 percent of our tonne kilometrage, meaning the climate impact is next to zero. But for our customers to be able to choose the most climate-smart alternative, we need to continue our active efforts in the debate on transportation policies.
