Force Majeure due to Extreme Weather
Green Cargo invokes Force Majeure due to an orange weather warning in the operational areas of Hallsberg, Gävle, and Ånge.
The Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) has issued an orange weather warning for heavy snowfall and strong winds on Monday, January 6th, and the night leading into Tuesday. Approximately 30 cm of snow is expected to fall in the areas of Värmland, Dalarna, Hallsberg, Gävle, and Ånge, which may significantly impact railway traffic. As a result, Green Cargo is forced to invoke Force Majeure.
Traffic Impact on Monday, January 6th:
- Hallsberg: All traffic will be canceled from 08:00 and for the rest of the day.
- Gävle: All traffic will be canceled from 12:00 and for the rest of the day.
- Ånge: All traffic will be canceled from 18:00 and for the rest of the day.
