Extensive traffic disruptions in the north due to derailments and heavy rain affect Green Cargo’s transports
There is currently a rail traffic suspension on parts of the Northern Main Line (Norra stambanan) and the Bothnia Line (Botniabanan). The cause is two derailments and extensive flooding following the weekend’s heavy rainfall, which has washed away roads and railway embankments. This has had a major impact on both road and rail traffic, making certain roads impassable. The suspension affects Green Cargo’s transports. We are rerouting our transports where possible and evaluating alternative transport solutions together with our customers, but unfortunately, some transports will have to be cancelled.
