SMHI issues orange weather warning – traffic to and from Norrland cancelled

SMHI has issued an orange weather warning from 12:00 on January 1 to 12:00 on January 2. The warning concerns the risk of heavy snowfall combined with strong winds.

Weather conditions may deteriorate earlier than the stated time. Meetings with Trafikverket are ongoing, and if there is a risk that trains will be stranded on the line, additional traffic may be cancelled. In connection with this, Green Cargo has activated a disruption plan and we are closely monitoring developments and updating information continuously.

Affected routes:

• Kilafors – Ånge
• Ånge – Sundsvall
• Söderhamn – Sundsvall
• Sundsvall – Umeå
