Update: New Orange Weather Warning – Operating Points Closed

SMHI has issued an orange weather warning for large parts of eastern Sweden south of Stockholm. Due to the weather conditions, certain operating points will be closed starting at 21:00 on January 3 and until further notice, preliminarily until January 7.

The following operating points are closed:

• Oxelösund
• Västerås
• Boxholm
• Jordbro
• Skärblacka
• Finspång
• Nykvarn

This means that freight trains to and from these operating points are canceled.

Update on Gävle:
Gävle yard has been affected by heavy snowfall, and strong winds are making snow removal difficult. Therefore, Gävle yard will largely remain closed until Sunday, January 7.

There is a risk that the forecast and closures will be extended depending on how the weather situation develops. A disruption plan is activated, and information is updated continuously.
