Storm Dave affecting train traffic across major parts of Sweden

Approximately midday on April 5, Storm Dave swept into Sweden, causing extensive disruption to train services. Trafikverket has been forced to close several railway lines for safety reasons.

Several major service disruptions have already been identified, but the full situation remains unclear as the storm has not yet reached its peak. Due to the severe weather conditions, fault repair teams and contractors are currently limited in their ability to work in the track areas.

Disruptions to traffic are expected to continue throughout the day, and services will be continuously adjusted as work to restore operations progresses.

Intense efforts are underway to regain control of the situation, with the aim of returning to normal operations as soon as weather conditions allow. If necessary, a disruption management organization and response team will be activated, with continuous monitoring of weather and traffic conditions. Information will be updated continuously.
