Strike warning in Sweden

The negotiations on a new central collective agreement were interrupted by SEKO (the trade union) last Friday and SEKO has today issued a notice of industrial action in three stages.

In a first step, a number of maintenance activities and public transport in southern Sweden will be affected, starting on May 11, as well as an overtime blockade for all of SEKO's members. In a second step, both commercial and regional passenger transport operators are affected.

In the event that the notification comes into effect, Green Cargo's operations will be affected, in addition to the overtime blockade, also in stage three starting May 18, where all train drivers and instructors stationed in Boden will be affected, as well as all drivers on shift duty in Kville.

We are now working on analyzing the impact this has on the transport of affected customers. We follow the development closely in collaboration with Almega and inform continuously through our established information channels.
