Renewed strike in Germany affects freight train traffic

According to provided information, the German Train Drivers' Union (GDL) has announced a new strike at DB Cargo, scheduled to commence at 18:00 on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. This will impact all DB companies, including infrastructure and City-Bahn Chemnitz, starting at 02:00 on Wednesday, January 24. The strike is expected to conclude at 18:00 on Monday, January 29.

This strike will affect the network of DB Cargo AG and parts of Green Cargo's international traffic. It is anticipated to primarily impact Green Cargo's international transports with potential delays and cancellations. In response to this situation, Green Cargo has implemented a dispatch ban for all export volumes via Malmö.

Force Majeure is invoked for all traffic affected by the strike announced by the German Train Drivers' Union GDL, starting at 18:00 on January 23, 2024.
