Strike warning in Germany
As part of ongoing salary disputes, the railway and transport union (EVG) has called for a full-day nationwide strike, which will affect all German rail operations from 00:00 on March 27, 2023 and will last for 24 hours.
Based on the information Green Cargo has today, a possible strike will have a limited impact on our transports. However, potential “after-effects” such as congested border points and traffic situation may lead to further disturbances in the German network also during Tuesday 28 March. Green Cargo will closely follow the continued development and are in liasing with the German infrastructure owner (DB Netz) and partner operators.
Green Cargo invokes Force Majeure for all traffic affected by the strike announced by the German transport unions starting March 27 at 00:00.
