Temporary strike pause initiated by the german train drivers' union
The German Train Drivers' Union (GDL) is currently implementing a temporary pause in the strike, which has affected the freight transport sector since January 9, 2024, at 18:00. The strike is on hold from Friday at 18:00 on January 12, 2024, until Wednesday, January 17, 2024. We at Green Cargo are immediately lifting all export restrictions, including the export ban, and ending the previously invoked Force Majeure.
Temporary strike pause
GDL has agreed to a temporary pause in the strike, allowing for ongoing negotiations and discussions. The strike will be on hold until Wednesday, January 17, 2024. If an agreement is not reached by then, there may be a risk of a potential resumption of the strike, and this will be communicated 24 hours in advance.
Regarding export restrictions
In response to the temporary pause in the strike, at Green Cargo, we are lifting all export restrictions, including the export ban. Customers are now free to resume their export activities via Malmö without any limitations.
Termination of force majeure
With the strike temporarily on hold, at Green Cargo, we are lifting the previously invoked Force Majeure for all traffic affected by the GDL strike. This allows for the resumption of normal operations without any Force Majeure-related limitations.
